Our Programs

In addition, our on-site classes for all ages at City Museum  and community centers around St. Louis, Circus Harmony are currently running and we're always seeking support for these programs.
Circus Harmony Showcase and Teacher Training Program combines youth development and arts education. It is an innovative program that develops circus arts, character and confidence in the participants.  Through this program, our students learn both circus skills and life skills as they perform, teach, and create circus acts for public performance. Specialized teaching artists work with our young performers to provide quality instruction and presentations that combine theater, dance, music and circus arts. Advanced students are trained as student teachers to work alongside professional teaching artists to serve as peer mentors for younger students. This program also teaches job-readiness, problem solving, self-regulation, conflict-resolution, critical thinking and other skills needed for basic life management. We teach the art of life through circus education.

Architecture and Acrobats involves Circus Harmony creating circus acts and presenting shows at a variety of north city and North County architectural landmarks many of which have historical significance. The shows would be created and performed by our students. In addition to presenting the shows live and free of charge for people in those neighborhoods, we would also record the shows so that people throughout St. Louis and, actually, anywhere in the world, could see these wonderful places, learn a little bit about them, and be entertained by St. Louis youth! We will also find a personal Circus Harmony connection to each location and include that point of view in the telling of the story of the place through circus arts.

Circus Science is an innovative program that combines the learning of science concepts with physical education and performing arts. Circus Science teaches scientific concepts through two novel and engaging means: the physical activities of circus disciplines and the performative art of putting on a show. In their final show, the students will demonstrate what they learned to other children in the audience.

Peace Through Pyramids Project is how Circus Harmony has used the circus arts to break down the social, economic and emotional barriers that divide us. This innovative initiative unites children from diverse communities through the learning and performing of circus arts in order to motivate social change in St. Louis and beyond. Peace Through Pyramids builds character in individuals and bridges between communities by building human pyramids with children.

Circus Teaches the Art of Life  is a Life Skills training program for our intermediate and advanced students to help them learn financial literacy, injury prevention, nutrition, conflict resolution, goal setting, job/college/circus school readiness and preparation.

Circus Harmony Flying Children Scholarship Fund is used to pay for circus classes for children who cannot afford them. This covers class both at our onsite and offsite locations.  Many talented children who would most benefit from our classes cannot afford to pay for classes. Your support of our Flying Children’s Scholarship Fund will help a child defy gravity and other limitations.

We hope you will join us in some way. This is where you can run away and join the circus but still be home in time for dinner!
