Circus Harmony in the Parks brings our unique circus arts shows and workshops featuring children from throughout the St. Louis area into St. Louis City and North County recreation centers. Our students create and present an entertaining and exciting circus show followed by giving a circus workshop for the whole family. We then teach 15 weeks of free classes in various circus arts for children in the neighborhoods! So many people nowadays experience performing arts on their screens instead of in person. Bringing live entertainment into neighborhoods used to be exactly what the circus did. In this era of electronic entertainment, we are returning to this personal connection between artist and audience. Seeing children from different neighborhoods working together and creating amazing entertainment and then having them teach children in the audience how to do some of these skills, is very inspiring! We also expect that some of the children in the audience may well be among our future performers!”
Thanks to support from the Saigh Foundation of St. Louis and the National Endowment for the Arts, Circus Harmony is excited to continue and expand our Circus Harmony in the Parks program! We are currently booking for the summer and fall of 2019. Look for us coming soon to your neighborhood!
Circus and holidays are two things that bring a smile to every child’s face! Thanks to PNC Arts Alive, Circus Harmony took the holidays to new heights for families at Wohl Recreation Center and Gamble Recreation Center in December.
If you missed the show you can still see:
