Expanding Our Circus Family

Over and over again, we hear students say the same thing. “This is my family.” The students, staff and teachers of  Circus Harmony care for and about each other in a way that goes way beyond the teaching of circus arts. We are there to catch each other emotionally as well as physically. We are there for each other to talk to as well as juggle with. We’ve got each other’s backs, fronts, sides, tops and bottoms.

Circus Harmony is thrilled to be adding to our full time staff, International Jugglers’ Association Excellence in Education award winner, Richard Kennison.  He joins our other award winning teachers, Rosa Yagaantsetseg, who is both an Honored Artist and Honored Citizen of Mongolia, and Jessica Hentoff, who has been awarded the first-ever Excellence in Education Awards from the American Youth Circus Organization/American Circus Educators. She has previously been named St. Louis Arts Innovator and Arts Educator of the year. Circus Harmony is fortnate to have such an exceptional staff.

This month, we also welcome our first circus intern from Indonesia, Dedy Purwadi. He joins our other international interns from Germany and Israel in expanding our circus family across international lines.  We welcome back guest coach extraordinaire, Sidney Iking Bateman, a former member of the St. Louis Arches. Sidney is working with us between his bookings for Les 7 Doigts de la Main in France and Argentina.

This is our family. All ages. All races. All backgrounds. Together, we are Circus Harmony! Come see us in action!
